going to tell you about is only good news for you and your health.
Which
drink would that be? Why, black lemonade of course!
Never
heard of it? Well, it is a super-refreshing beverage which gets its black color
from activated charcoal.
Lemon
itself is known for its many benefits. But activated charcoal can also boast
with its fair share. For example, it can remove the toxins from your body and
has an anti-aging effect.
It can
also naturally whiten your teeth and prevent those nasty hangovers that so many
of us are acquainted with (it also helps treat alcohol poisoning).
How does
it remove toxins from the body, you might ask? To put it simply, it attaches
itself to toxins which in turn get carried out of your system through the
process of elimination.

However,
as helpful as charcoal is for many things health wise, it can interfere with
certain medications, and so it is best to check with your doctor before deciding

The Recipe
It is a
fairly simple recipe which requires simple ingredients you probably already
have in your kitchen. Well, minus the charcoal, that is.
Ingredients:
- The juice of one
lemon
- One to two
capsules of activated charcoal
- Maple syrup or
stevia
- Ice
- Water
What to do:
Start off
by cutting the lemon in half and use a juicer to squeeze the juice out. Also,
be sure to take out any seeds which may have fallen in. Add the juice to a 16
oz glass.
Check the
dosage on the container or bottle of activated charcoal before breaking open
one to two capsules. Add them to the lemon juice and give it a good stir to mix
up these two ingredients.
Next
thing you do is just fill the glass with ice cubes and add some water. You can
also add a sweetener, like a drop or two of stevia (or even a few drops, if you
like it really sweet).
You can
add a slice of lemon for decoration purposes.

One more
piece of advice: It is advised to drink large quantities of water when taking
activated charcoal. That’s why it’s better to add the charcoal to a water drink
instead of just taking the capsules.
That way

good circulation of charcoal in your system. And besides, since the activated
charcoal has no flavor, adding it to lemonade is 10x tastier.
